" After Johnnie surrendered to the calling, we immediately began praying for God's guidance in looking for a building. Being led strictly by the Holy Spirit, the Lord opened all paths and led us to an old lawnmower shop. A building that many people thought was impossible to turn into anything other than the dilapidated, old, greasy building it was. God showed Johnnie and myself the vision of what it could look like, and we both knew this was where Hilltop was going to begin. We bought the building and began renovation. After many months of struggles, tears, and miracles, the Lord completed His work, and the doors were opened on November 24, 1992. The building held a maximum of 75 people, and for our first church service, we had 128 people stuffed and standing everywhere. (Thank goodness the Fire Marshal did not show up that day!)

The Lord continued pouring His blessings out. We immediately had to bring in additional portable buildings and build on the sides of the original building, which now is the location of Neighbors to Neighbors.

It wasn't long before we outgrew it, and the Lord led us to purchase the current church, which was the prior Lions Club building.

The Lord has been faithful to Hilltop through the years with many souls being added, saved, and baptized. It now stands as a pillar in the community with the Christian school added, raising children to know who Jesus Christ is and what He has done for us. With the Lord's guidance, there is no limit as to what the Lord has planned for Hilltop. It's exciting to see His plan unfold for the future of Hilltop, His church."
